The vehicle

JETS 2.0 is the vehicle DLA J6, the agency’s chief information officer organization, uses to buy information technology services for the DLA IT enterprise. It replaced the original JETS contract. The ordering period runs from October 21, 2024 to October 20, 2034, made up of a five-year base and a five-year option, against an $11.9 billion ceiling.

Scope

The contract is organized into twelve task areas covering the operation, modernization, and sustainment of DLA’s enterprise systems and networks, from telecommunications and cloud hosting through business system lifecycle management and cyber security support.

DLA runs one of the largest enterprise resource planning footprints in the federal government, so most JETS work sits against systems that are already in production and cannot be interrupted.

Placing an order

DLA competes task orders among the holders in the applicable group. This award is in the 8(a) group. Requirements are issued by DLA contracting, and holders are evaluated against the task areas the order falls under.

IT services line items may be firm-fixed-price or cost-reimbursement. Travel and other direct costs are placed as time-and-materials.
